ArtsMount Erin College has a vibrant and enthusiastic team of staff who develop positive relationships and produce high quality work from its students. The Arts curriculum which offers a broad choice of subject offerings is divided into Junior, Middle and VCE strands.
EnglishEnglish at Mount Erin is aimed at developing skills in the four major areas of Writing, Reading and Speaking and Listening. We endeavour to cater for all students as individuals.
Health & P.E.
The key learning areas of Health and Physical Education draw from the dynamic and multi-dimensional nature of health and the significance of physical activity in the lives of individuals and groups in our society.
LOTE
We believe that the study of a language enhances one’s understanding of the English language. Second languages are learnt through the first and are enhanced through travel experiences, opportunities for employment, reading, speaking, writing, listening skills, effective communication and an appreciation of other cultures.
Maths
At Mount Erin College, the Key Learning Area of Mathematics offers many options to students from Years 7-12. They include Standard, Total, Everyday, Foundation, General, Further and Specialist Mathematics & Mathematical Methods.
Science
Science students at Mount Erin are encouraged to become independent thinkers with a sense of enquiry and to use the Scientific Method to solve problems. They develop their scientific skills across the areas of study in the Biological, Chemical, Physical and Earth and Space Sciences.
Humanities
Humanities at Mount Erin is aimed at developing students' skills in the three major disciplines of History, Geography and Economy and Society.
Technology
Technology Studies incorporate a core group of subjects ranging from Food, Fibre, Integrated Technology, Systems Electronics, Materials Glass, Materials Wood, Automotive and Information Technology.
