Junior School—Engagement
Helping our Year 7 students to feel happy, secure and confident as they adjust to the greater complexity of secondary school begins with our 'Passport to the Future Program' at Year 6. On site experiences help primary students to quickly form new friendships, meet new teachers and build self confidence ready for a seamless transition to secondary school.
A Year 7 Orientation Camp occurs early in the year to enable students to form strong and positive relationships with their class mates and teachers. Year 10 '“Buddies'” take on a peer support role, which strengthens the pastoral support program. Year 7 & 8 students develop close relationships with their teachers through a sub- school structure that enables teachers to specialise in the Junior Sub- School.
Middle School—Growth and Preparedness
Year 9 & 10 students are offered a wide range of subjects allowing them significant choice, increased challenge and substantial responsibility for their own learning as they grow toward maturity and independence.
A solid core curriculum is complemented by a stimulating elective program that recognises the different needs of students and supports individual learning and career pathways. Academic learning is enhanced through access to work experience and vocational opportunities with VCE & VET units available to students wishing to maximise their ENTER score.
Senior School—VCE & VCAL Success
Initiative, personal responsibility for learning and a strong sense of commitment are central to life in Years 11 & 12. All senior students are able to achieve successful VCE or VCAL outcomes through a diverse range of subject options and a strong Senior Sub- School management and support team, which includes careers, MIPS (Managed Individual Pathways) and VCAL advisors. Senior students are prepared for the post secondary world of tertiary study, vocational training, apprenticeships or employment.
