Curriculum Provision The Select Entry Accelerated Learning Program addresses the needs of those students who qualify as either gifted or talented students or are highly able in their academic endeavours.
These students' needs are accommodated by a curriculum which: -covers traditional curriculum in a shorter amount of time -provides opportunity to reach into more abstract, complex, and in-depth content within a subject area -enables students to function independently at their academic potential -provides the opportunity for students to interact with intellectual peers
At Mount Erin College students in the Accelerated Learning Program will complete Years 7 to 10 in three years. In the first and second year the curriculum involves English, SOSE, LOTE, Mathematics, Science, Arts, Health and Physical Education, Technology and Sport. In the third year, students can undertake electives offered in Year Ten in addition to their core studies.
Students in this program will be encouraged to be involved in a range of school activities such as sport, College production and music. They should also expect to be in a number of competitions and programs which are judged as providing suitable support for the work they are undertaking. (These programs are available to other students as well as those in the Accelerated Learning Program.)

- have high levels of creativity
- have a high level of maturity and commitment
