Welcome to LOTE at Mount Erin. We believe that the study of a language

We currently offer two Languages Other than English:
LOTE Extra Curricular Activities
Cross Age Tutoring:
The Indonesian Department has a tradition of visiting local primary schools. Year 9 and 10 students participate in this activity which involves them in actually teaching a class on their own. Mount Erin students develop confidence and skills in planning and presenting, as well as obtaining an insight into teaching. Primary students always enjoy the interaction with older students immensely.
Overseas Trips:
When possible Mount Erin organises trips to Indonesia.
Indonesian Immersion Camps:
In previous years Mount Erin has run several immersion camps in Flinders which is situated around Western Port Bay. These camps provide an excellent opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the language and culture of Indonesia. Students participate in a wide range of activities over this three day camp, eager to further their oral and aural skills in the language.
